Juvenile Probation Conditions
While, most conditions of probation are tailored to fit the individual needs of the youth, below is a sample of what conditions could be ordered for a child ordered to probation. Both the child and the parent/guardian should be familiar with each condition ordered. Copies of the specific conditions will be provided to the family at the time they are signed. Additional copies can be sent at the request of the youth or the parent/guardian.
Juvenile Problem Solving Court
Juvenile problem-solving courts are specialized court programs designed to address the underlying issues that contribute to youth involvement in the justice system, such as substance abuse, mental health challenges, or family instability. These courts focus on rehabilitation rather than punishment, using a collaborative approach that involves judges, social workers, counselors, and families. The benefits of juvenile problem-solving courts include reduced recidivism, improved behavioral and educational outcomes for participants, and stronger family and community ties, all of which contribute to more positive long-term trajectories for at-risk youth.
