Family Focused Mentoring

Family Focused Mentoring, or FFM, is a supportive program designed to help youth and their families complete probation while building skills for long-term success. The program provides guidance, accountability, and connection to resources that support positive growth beyond probation.

What to Expect

  • Referral Received from Probation and/or Court

  • Program Manager Meets with Family following Court or within 48 hours of the referral

  • Initial Assessment completed and safety plan reviewed

  • Advocate matched with family

  • Family Team Meeting Schedules

  • Weekly Follow-Ups and Activity Planning

  • Progress Reviewed with Probation Every 60 days

  • Program Participation through Successful Probation Completion

Program Expectations

Participants are expected to:

  • Maintain Regular Communication

  • Spend a minimum of five (5) hours per week with their assigned advocate.

  • Actively participate in scheduled activities

Failure to participate may result in an unsuccessful discharge from the program.

Each family is matched with an advocate who serves as the main point of contact throughout the program. 

Advocates meet with youth weekly on a one-on-one basis to support the goals of the youth.

Advocates may work with multiple families and have other employment, however, each advocate strives to accomodate family schedules.
